Northern Irish midfielder Scott Carson looks set to be allowed to leave the club on loan in order to get some first team football according to Town Boss Mick McCarthy.

Carson has struggled to make the first team squad since Mick McCarthy took over as Town boss, and first team football at another club will no doubt be helpful for the development of the player.

On the subject of Carson leaving, McCarthy confirmed he'd already had interest from some clubs: “With Josh, there are a couple of clubs who would like to take him – we’ll wait and see what happens.”

Carson has represented his country at several youth levels, and made his full international debut in May 2011 against the Republic of Ireland and has also represented his country at full international level.

For Town the midfielder apeared 12 times during 2011/2012 scoring two goals.
