Calvin Zola saga rumbles on

After rejecting several chances to join other clubs on loan, Dario Gradi has stated that Calvin Zola will be made available for transfer in January. Zola has suffered a dramatic loss in form since leading the scoring last season with 18 goals and Crewe will now look to recoup some of his £200’000 transfer fee. Although the door remains open for him to stay should he rediscover his goal scoring form.

Speaking to the clubs official website Dario said: “Calvin is still here with us. He is available for tomorrows reserve game against Liverpool. I have preferred to pick other players ahead of him lately and e scored two goals for the reserves last week. If he scores two again then I am sure that it will do him the power of good and do me the power of good too.”

“He is available for loan, that hasn’t changed, but there are other factors involved, such as Calvin wanting a guarantee of a contract in January or a certain wage and that is his business.”
