Newcastle have a habit of putting away the goals against Villa. United are desperate for three points on Saturday when they face the public for the first time since the awful 5-0 loss against Manchester City. Indeed, Villa are well and truly the whipping boys for United when it comes to this fixture. Newcastle have won more times against Villa than any other opponent in the Premier League since joining in 1993.

Newcastle United's form has not been that good but it has definitely been better than Villa's form as United have lost 3, drawn 2 and won 1 out of 6 latest matches. Whereas Villa have lost all 6 of their matches. Villa also have not had a win since the 7th December when they beat bottom of the league Leicester 2-1 at home.United's latest win was on 31 January when we beat Hull City 3-0 away.

If Newcastle beat Villa which by looking at the statistics there is a big chance we do so, especially when it is the game that we always do well against, then that would place us 1 point under Stoke City who are playing home against Hull City.

However, Villa have a new manager (Tim Sherwood) who recently managed Spurs but hopefully, like most the other matches we play against Villa we will win.But overall, i think newcastle will have this win in the bag and it would be good for us to do so, as we have quite a few difficult matches ahead after Aston Villa so gaining the 3 points from them will help us out alot.
