Magpies interim manager John Carver has got the job until the end of the season but he has now managed only one win in eight games and this performance did little for his long-term prospects.

Newcastle - Manchester City match was a nightmare from start to finish, not just for the players, but the fans aswell. Manchester City only needed 28 seconds to gain a penalty kick, which Aguero slotted away easily by fooling Krul with his eyes. Then Haidara who did not have any idea where nasri was in the 12th minute giving him his first goal since May,  also letting David Silva score his ninth goal of the season which is more than he has ever managed before. And from then on it was just mistake after mistake.

During the 14/15 season in October, where we beat Man City 2-0 with quite a youthful team. Rolando Aarons who made him senior debut to Newcastle scoring the first goal in the 6th minute putting us 1-0 up at half time. Then Sissoko scored our 2nd goal in the 75th minute to secure the win knocking Man City out of the League Cup. Giving us our first win at Etihad Stadium in 12 attempts. Man City who pretty much had their best side out apart from Hart in Goal and Aguero still could not break our defence down even though they had 70% possession, 21 shots and 3 shots on target.

After this, it is hard to believe we had been beaten 5-0 but in my opinion, I just think that we lost all confidence after the 28th second penalty giveaway, Newcastle weren't showing the hunger and determinaton that Man City were giving just to try and get the ball back and to make another chance. I just hope that we give a response to Villa when they come to St. James Park.
