Newcastle United’s Yoan Gouffran was stretchered off in the game against Tottenham Hotspur this lunchtime after clashing with Kyle Walker in the 54th minute. Gouffran, who scored his first goal for Newcastle in the 23rd minute spent 6 minutes on the pitch receiving treatment and oxygen before the paramedics skilfully, manoeuvred him onto the stretcher.
The coming together didn’t look obviously problematic but Gouffran, was shown on camera to be visibly distressed after going down clutching his ankle, he also had a small amount of blood coming from a cut to his calf.
The 26 year old has been taken to hospital for an x-ray on a suspected broken leg. No official word from Newcastle United as of yet.
