Both Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear and Fulham manager Roy Hodgson have given interviews ahead of tomorrow afternoon's televised kick off. Kinnear will be looking to build on his sides recent good form with a third consecutive win under his management and the clubs fourth of the season, whilst Hodgson is also looking for Fulham's fourth win of the season after 5 defeats and just 2 draws.
Acknowledging Newcastle's new found confidence Hodgson said:

"We expect a tough game because it is a resurgent Newcastle side - they have taken 7 points from their last four games.

A new manager has gone in there and that has galvanised the spirit of the club.

They have top-class players and they have confidence but we have got to make sure that we match that. We should have confidence because we have not played badly but we have not had the right results."

Whilst Kinnear also recognised Fulham's ability to secure the points:

"Our two wins have been fantastic and have done wonders for confidence.  But now the challenge is to put two more wins together against Fulham and Wigan.

It will be tough at Fulham but we are more than capable of getting a win.  It's a crucial stage of the season and it's important to build momentum."

He also praised his team for starting to express themselves:

"Looking at Fabricio Coloccini, I can see that he is reading the game better and that he is getting a better understanding with Steven Taylor.

Players are expressing themselves to each other more than when I arrived here.

There was the quiet bunch, the reasonably talkative bunch and a few noisy ones, whereas at Wimbledon, everybody voiced an opinion.

You can't play football without information on the pitch unless you have the 11 best players in the world.

But when you have to organise, somebody has to pass on information because things change so quickly.

We don't travel with players, we don't let people pull us out of holes, we don't let people disorganise us.

They are only minor things, but they are effective.

You have to keep your shape whatever team you are playing, even when teams have ploys to pull you out of areas, like we did the other night against Aston Villa.

Thankfully, I am getting a good response from the players."
