Gutierrez To Make Debut Tonight

Newcastle's new signing Jonas Gutierrez is likely to make his debut for the club tonight despite his registration not yet being complete. The 25 year old who moved from Real Mallorca on a 5 year contract has been granted special permission from his previous club. Despite this allowance he will not feature in Newcastle's game against Real Mallorca on Sunday.
The Argentine Winger, who is seeking advice on buying out his previous contract travelled with Newcastle to both their pre-season games against Doncaster and Hartlepool but was unable to play.

He said of his situation:

"I can't wait to make my debut, and it's even more special that it is at my old ground. I want to show people what I can do.

It's great to be able to play out here. We have hard games to come, but we are excited by the tournament.

I am very happy to be back in Mallorca. I lived here for four years, and I have a lot of friends and family here.

It was a good opportunity for me to come. It's great to be here with Newcastle, as this is a wonderful city.

The stadium has a very good atmosphere, and it will interesting to see the Newcastle fans here."

This is looming ever more ominously. Why hasn't it been sorted by now? And why would he seek advice on his own? Don't the club have any ideas?
