Fan Peter Lilley from Glasgow was elated to have had his chance on the pitch at St James.
He said: "It was a fantastic evening, I was really impressed with how the event was organised.
"Rarely do you get to participate or be involved with something that has a genuine ‘win-win' conclusion, with supporters literally ‘living the dream' and funds being raised for superb causes."
In past years, moneys raised from this event has been distributed towards charitable causes including SCOPE and Fleming's Children's Trust, both of whom were nominated by Newcastle United Football Club.
Charitable funds generated from the event are distributed through Football Aid's parent charity Field of Dreams, and split between Diabetes research and management programmes and other highly deserving charitable projects nominated by Newcastle United FC. If you would like further information regarding playing in the event, please visit the Newcastle United Football Aid page at http://www.footballaid.com/ or contact the sales team at info@footballaid.com.
