Dyer Deal OFF
By Tyne-Talk
August 4 2007
Keiron Dyer's move to West Ham has been called off by Newcastle United as the two clubs failed to secure the deal. A £6.Million fee had been agreed by the clubs before discussions allegedly seemed to bring it up to £8million.
Curbishley has also hinted that it is unlikely that a deal will be sorted before the new season starts.

"We agreed a fee with Newcastle and we agreed personal terms with the player,

The player passed a medical, but at the 11th hour, the 11th-and-a-half hour, it got pulled by Newcastle for their reasons.

There is not much we can do about it.

The boy has been left in limbo, obviously. He was just about to come and train with us.

It's been pulled and the likelihood is it's going to stay that way.

It's the first time I can remember anything like this happening. It's happened and we have got to get on with it."

There has so far been no comments made by the camp. The question now is will Dyer remain at St James' Park despite his eagerness to leave or will Big Sam send him out on Loan instead?

Allardyce has already stated that differences may mean that Newcastle have no option but to let Dyer go

"If somebody has got a problem they cannot resolve, then ultimately in the long run, it is better for the club and better for him if you can resolve that problem.

If that's away from here, then so be it."

So whats changed?

Re: Dyer Deal OFF
Might be the best thing to happen to him. Make him play reserves every week, make him realise he isnt what he thinks he is and he will have to fight hard for his place.

COuld be interesting. Would be good to actually hear from somebody from the Newcastle camp rather than just west ham and then the tabloid speculation.
