John Sutton
The early stage showed no sign of what was coming with the only highlight in the early stages the ref having to change his whistle!
This all changed in the 14th minute when United took the lead, a cross from Craig Conway was only half cleared into the path of Andy Webster who coolly sent a low shot past John Ruddy.
Well were back on level terms after only a couple of minutes when John Sutton rose to head past Nicky Weaver. This was a bit of a surprise given the strength of the United defence.
We were a goal up by half time, Lukas Jutkiewicz turned away from Darren Dods to fire a low host from the angle of the box to leave Weaver helpless.
The first half had been a tactical battle between two sides who were keen to pass the ball but the ref stepped in and spoiled the second half.
Prince Bauben was shown a red card for two tackles within the space of 12 minutes, although if he hadn't taken his protests too far for the second he may have stayed on.
Then Myrie Williams was lucky to stay on following a horrific tackle on Steven Saunders. The Units man had been booked in thifirst half, and escaped red after a couple of shocking dives. Not long after his horrific tackle he wsa hooked by Craig Levein.
United pulled themselves together after being reduced to ten men and equalised with 7 minutes left, a Dixon cross from the left was met by sub John Daly to convert from close range.
There was more drama in teh closing minutes with United reduced to ten men when Danny Swanson was shown red for a tackle on Keith Lasley, alhtough it did seem harsh when a yellow may have been enough.
In stoppage time Keith Lasley looked as though he had scored but Nicky Weaver stuck out a right hand to keep it out.
Once again Well struggled to cope with a team reduced to ten men and dropped two more points, a couple of wins from the eight draws so far and we would have been top of the table!!
