Ramos lines up raid for City starlet

Luca Modric may be the major signing Juande Ramos has made but Spurs are looking to the future and are keeping a close eye on York City teenager Adam Boyes. The 17-year-old striker is also being tracked by Manchester Utd and Middlesbrough. Boyes is a product of the City youth system and made four substitute appearances at the end of last season, with his awareness being a stand-out feature.

The youngster netted during a two week trial at Old Trafford but Spurs are also ready to swoop.

Boro boss Gareth Southgate may well run the rule over Boyes when his side visit KitKat Crescent in July.

I really hope this is a sign that Boyes is a good prospect. If we manage to keep him will he figure more often from the bench or will he get a starting place?

I feel that Boyes should be given the chance next season, probably from the bench to start with, but will certainly not let us down when called upon.

I think you're right lad, he'll be eager to make an impact in the first team - build up his reputation.
