Tubbs: on target again
By Sebastian Gibb
April 26 2008
It was a disappointing end to the season for the Minstermen as they were beaten comfortably at Salisbury. Goals from Timothy Bond, Matt Tubbs and Liam Feeney ensured the home side took the points and finish above City in their debut season after consecutive promotions.

The hosts dominated throughout and took the lead on 34 minutes when Feeney crossed for Bond to finish easily.  Three minutes later it was 2 - 0 as Matthew Robinson set up Tubbs who fired home his 16th of the season.

The visitors rallied briefly after the break and substitute Onome Sodge hit the post but the game was beyond doubt when Feeney slotted in a late third.

The result means City finish 14th and no doubt glad to see the back of this campaign after a poor start cost them any chance of making the playoffs.  Colin Walker has brought about an improvement though and fans will be hopeful of a higher finish next season.
