biggest away win

Saturday afternoon's 5-1 drubbing of Leyton Orient entered the record books for Yeovil Town going down as their biggest ever away victory in the Football League.

The last time the Glovers scored five goals away from home was in May 2007 in the unforgettable 5-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in the play-off semi final second leg.

In fact, Yeovil have only ever scored five goals on three occasions, and apart from the two already mentioned, their other five goal haul came in a 5-3 win over Cambridge United back in 2004.

Taking into account home fixtures as well the Green and Whites biggest ever win in the Football League continues to be the 6-1 victory over Oxford United way back in September 2004.

Shaun MacDonald netted a hat-trick yesterday and is the first person to do so in a Yeovil shirt since Arron Davies' trio of goals against Chesterfield in March 2006.
