Match Preview: Exeter City v. Yeovil Town

likely to start

The Glovers travel South to Devon this Saturday to face tenth placed Exeter City, as they look to pick up their first win in March.

2011 started excellently for the Glovers who went through January losing just the once, but things have deteriorated as the year has progressed and so far March has been a month to forget with two draws and two losses.

Last weeks home draw with Walsall was two points dropped, but they are creating chances seemingly at will and that can only be aided by the loan arrival of Jonathan Obika and Shaun MacDonald, who will boost squad confidence ahead of their clash with the Grecians.

Goals have been sadly lacking, scoring just 13 times in 16 games since the turn of the year, something Obika will be hoping to alter with his current scoring record for Yeovil boasting a goal every three games.

In terms of injuries and suspensions the Glovers will be without Paul Wotton (hamstring) and Luke Ayling, who last week picked up his tenth yellow card of the season triggering a two match suspension from the FA. Paul Huntington could be in line to return from his toe injury, but if he fails Adam Virgo will be in line to deputise once more.

Yeovil will be hoping to fair better against the Grecians than they did earlier in the season, as they twice lost at Huish Park 3-1 in both League One and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Last season the Glovers snatched a draw at St. James' Park thanks to a wonder strike from Ryan Mason late on.

If you aren't travelling to Exeter you can listen to the game on BBC Radio Somerset 99.5FM, with a match report following later on Glover Lover.
