Match Preview: Brentford v. Yeovil Town

back from suspension

After the dramatic 2-2 draw at Hillsborough in midweek the Glovers travel to Brentford this weekend looking to secure a win which could see them leave the relegation zone.

Yeovil are currently two points adrift of safety, but a Glovers win and Swindon Town loss would see the Green and Whites exit the bottom for places.

If they are to do so they will be without suspended pair Luke Ayling and Adam Virgo, who now serve and one and three match ban respectively.

This leaves Yeovil short for options at right-back, although the timely arrival back from suspension of Jean-Paul Kalala should provide the answer to that problem. Manager Terry Skiverton has also hinted that Craig Alcock may return to the squad, although his involvement is unlikely unless necessary.

A familiar face in the Bees ranks will be ex-Yeovil loanee Owain Tudur Jones, who has signed for Brentford on loan from Norwich City. The only question mark for Brentford will be the fitness of Karleigh Osbourne, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury in recent weeks.

In six attempts the Glovers have only won once at Griffin Park and that was back in 2006, with goals from Terry Skiverton and Chris Cohen securing a 2-1 victory.

Brentford will be preparing themselves for the second leg of the Johnstone's Paint Semi Final meaning their minds may be elsewhere, perhaps allowing the Glovers to snatch all three points.

If you are not travelling to the game you can listen to full match commentary on BBC Radio Somerset 99.5FM, with a match report following later on Glover Lover.
