Match Preview: Yeovil Town v. Brentford

likely début

Originally scheduled for Boxing Day, the Glovers take on Brentford tomorrow afternoon looking to stretch their unbeaten run to four games.

Visitors to Huish Park Brentford won't make that easy for Yeovil however, as they have won seven of their last ten matches seeing them boast League One's third best away record.

Last Monday did see that away record falter however as they lost to AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court, although they still lie in 10th position and just two points off of the play-offs.

Yeovil on the other hand find themselves five points from safety, but fortunes have began to change for Terry Skiverton, with the Green and Whites picking up five points from an available nine, remaining unbeaten in three games, and conceding zero goals along the way.

However, the Glovers will not be able to name an unchanged side for a third game running with John Sullivan and Shaun MacDonald returning to their parent clubs after successful loan spells, with Stephen Henderson likely to replace Sullivan in goal after joining on-loan for a second time. Veteran midfielder and new arrival Alex Russell is likely to come into midfield for MacDonald, whilst JP Kalala starts the first of a four match suspension. Elsewhere Luke Ayling is set to continue at right-back despite earning himself a broken nose last time out.

In terms of returning players, Terry Skiverton will have to wait and see whether Craig Alcock and Adam Virgo are fit enough to feature, although even if they are there chances of returning to the starting eleven are slim.

The Bees have travelled to Somerset without injured duo Carl Cort and Sam Wood, whilst Sam Saunders is also set to miss out with a hamstring injury. They do welcome back Marc Laird however, as he arrives back at Brentford for a second time on-loan from Millwall.

If you are not travelling to Huish Park tomorrow you can listen to the game on BBC Radio Somerset 99.5FM.
