Heffernan WILL miss the Play-Offs

DONCASTER Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has been handed a major blow, after Paul Heffernan saw his appeal against his red card was turned down. The Irish frontman was red carded during Friday's goalless First Leg of the Coca-Cola League One Play-Offs at Roots Hall, Southend.
DONCASTER Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has been handed a major blow, after Paul Heffernan saw his appeal against his red card was turned down. The Irish frontman was red carded during Friday's goalless First Leg of the Coca-Cola League One Play-Offs at Roots Hall, Southend.
ABOVE: Heffernan is shown the red card at Roots Hall on Friday.As a result Heffernan will now be ruled out for the rest of the season and the opening game of the 2008/09 season, whether it be in the Championship or in League One will be decided in the games he will miss.
Heffernan will miss the opening two fixtures of the next campaign if Doncaster fail to beat Southend United in the second leg at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday evening, as it will eliminate a trip to Wembley.
