Stoke City look to be
trying to secure the services of former Spurs and QPR manager , Gerry
Francis.
Francis is being brought in to coach the Potters on a part time basis,
after fighting off competition from Newcastle to offer him the same
role.
He was last involved in football back in 2001 with Bristol Rovers
but is now ready to come back and already attracted the interest of both
Joe Kinnear and Tony Pulis
Reports suggest Francis joined Pulis and the team at Fratton Park at the
weekend and is close securing the deal.
The Potters boss has
said: "I think it's almost sorted with Gerry and he's coming to us.
we've got a part-time role in mind, probably two days a week, and I'll
be delighted to have someone of his experience on board with us." |
