Hyypia was left out of Liverpools Champions League and had been linked with both Stoke City and Fulham in the summer transfer window.

Else where Tony Pulis is lining up a 3m transfer swoop for Liverpools Jermaine Pennant. Blackburn are reportedly interested in signing the player too, so Pulis will have a battle on his hands.

Liverpool accepted Blackburns offer in the summer only for the move to fall through, and with his contract set to expire in the summer the club will be keen to sell him on.

Finally a couple of online sources are today reporting that Tony Pulis is eyeing a loan deal to bring Villa midfielder James Milner to the club for the remainder of the season.
