Stoke City manager has spoken out after his side's 2 - 1 defeat away at Fratton Park. Pulis , formerly an assist at Pompey has expressed his aim to keep confidence and morale high within the side, and wants the dressing room to remain positive following the clubs fifth defeat of the season. Here's what Tony Pulis had to say after the game.

"I can't fault the lads for effort because once again they gave absolutely everything they got, We had chances especially in the first half that had they gone for us then we would have been in control of the game. Kits had a good chance early on, and so did one or two other players. There were a few balls that come across the penalty area that just needed a touch. Then they have their first half chance, and Crouchy scores a wonder goal. That's how it is for us at the moment, but we will keep fighting and keep our heads up. It is important that the lads keep their confidence and I will be making sure that is what happens over the next two weeks.

When talking about the 2,000 travelling Stoke fans.

"They turned out in numbers again today and they were absolutely brilliant. They are gaining a reputation as one of the best groups of supporters and rightly so. It was good to see them all clapping at the end because I think they realise that the players are giving it a right good go, and you can't ask for anymore than that. We will have 28,000 here for Tottenham and hopefully we can give them a result they deserve."
