Alex McLeish is optimistic Birmingham goalkeeper Maik Taylor will sign a new two-year contract. His current contract ends at the end of the month after 5 years at the blues. He joined Birmingham 5 years ago from Fulham initially on loan and then joined blues on a permanent deal.
McLeish stated that although nothing has yet developed, negotiations went well and he’s optimistic that Taylor will sign.Taylor is extremely fit for his age and was Birmingham’s number one last season in the premier league.McLeash also started that he may have to sell one or two of his top players to raise funds to rebuild his squad ready for the championship.
