IT WAS A FRUSTRATING DAY IN FRONT OF GOAL,AS EVERTON'S DOMINATION COULD'NT GET THAT ELUSIVE GOAL AGAINST A STUBBORN WOLVES SIDE...

AS I SAID IN THE PREVIEW,JUST WHEN YOU THINK WE ARE LOOKING UNSTOPPABLE,WE ALWAYS GET BITTEN ON THE ARSE WITH EVERTON.

WITH NEWS THAT MIKEL ARTETA WAS OUT WITH A GROIN STRAIN,IT DIDNT SEEM A WORRY,AS JACK RODWELL CAME IN AND WITH HIM PLAYING SO WELL,WE WOULD BE OK WITHOUT OUR SPANISH PLAYMAKER.

THE BLUES STARTED THE GAME IN SO MUCH CONFIDENCE AND WERE RIPPING WOLVES APART WITH OUR CRISP PASSING AND MOVEMENT,AND AFTER 6 MINUTES,A LOVELY MOVE BETWEEN PIENAAR AND OSMAN,SAW OSMAN WITH A CLEAR CHANCE TO SCORE FROM 6 YRDS OUT BUT HE HIT IT STRAIGHT AT HANNAMEN'S LEGS....HE SHOULD OF BURIED THAT.

IT WAS ALL EVERTON IN THE FIRST HALF WITH WOLVES HAVING THE ODD BREAK HERE AND THERE,WE JUST COULDNT BREAK THEM DOWN,LATE ON THE FIRST HALF LOUIS SAHA SAW A GREAT LEFT FOOT STRIKE COME OFF THE BAR,IT WAS A SIGN THAT IT WASNT GOING TO BE OUR DAY.

WHILE WE LOOKED STRONG AT THE BACK,WE NEVER HAD OUR SHOOTING BOOTS ON AT THE OTHER END.

THE SECOND HALF CARRIED ON THE SAME AS THE FIRST,WITH EVERTON LOOKING THE MOST LIKELY TO SCORE,WITH SOME REALLY TAME EFFORTS FROM ALL OUR PLAYERS,IT JUST WASNT GOING TO HAPPEN.

I SUPPOSE A POINT WASNT A BAD RESULT,BUT WE HAD A GREAT CHANCE TO END THE DAY ON THE SAME POINTS AS LIVERPOOL AND VILLA,NOW ITS LOOKING LIKELY THAT VILLA ARE THE ONES WE HAVE OUR EYE ON,AS THEY LOOK TO BE STRUGGLING,EUROPE IS NOT OUT OF OUR SIGHTS JUST YET!!
