Ben Burgess "Gutted he has left"

Seasiders!
By Mike Smith
December 28 2008
Ben Burgess has revealed that the players were as unaware as the fans, regarding Larry's departure. In his Blog for the News of the World he revealed how a fan told him he was leaving despite nothing been said officially by his employers. He also revealed that Larry took training as normal on Monday and then attended the Xmas signing event as if nothing was happening.

Burgess wrote " We all thought that was strange because he was only sitting a few chairs away from us, happily posing for pictures with the fans. How wrong were we!" Adding "It’s the first time in my career that a manager has left mid-season and I can honestly say that we players had no idea - we only found out when the fans did, or even after some fans did."

He also revealed that the players are "gutted he has left" however he said the player had got "over the shock and were gossipping about potential new managers." by Wednesday.
