He Wants To GO!!!
It will be interesting to follow reports this afternoon and it seems that Grayson is on his way out. Following him would be Tony Parkes and Steve Thompson if the Blackpool Gazette is to be correct. However Steve Thompson could be offered the Bloomfield Road hot-seat. A decision which maybe unpopular, would be cheap but could be in the interests of the club at least to the end of the season.
Thompson has worked with the youth teams, reserve teams and first teams. He knows all the players and many accredit the upturn in form during Grayson's first season at Bloomfield Road to the acquisition of former player and fan Steve Thompson.
The Gazette speculates that "Paul Ince, Aidy Boothroyd, Billy Davies, Danny Wilson and Iain Dowie are all expected to apply". Stan Ternent and Steve Cotteril's names are also touted. Although Thompson would be favourite should Grayson and Parkes leave.
Some fans may want to see Blackpool take a risk on Accrington boss John Coleman, one post on our message-board by "Rocky" says that "Coleman is the obvious choice for the job having a 43.93% win rate, whilst may I add working with a tight budget at Accrington."
Seaside_Steve on the other hand says he'd like to see Paul Simpson return. The problem with appointing either of those men, is that compensation would have to be paid to there current club.
As always stay tuned for the latest as it breaks and feel free to add your opinion on our forums.
