Grayson to Leeds? Latest News

Grayson's Off!
By Mike-Smith
December 22 2008
If recent media reports are to be believed Simon Grayson is off to Leeds United as there new manager; following the recent departure of Gary McAllister and Steve Staunton at Elland Road. On his way out Staunton suggested to the press Larry maybe there new gaffa.

Sky bet and other bookmakers such as Victor Chandler have cut there odds on Simon Grayson joining Leeds following what has been described as "a flood of bets on Blackpool manager Simon Grayson becoming the next Leeds United boss."

Grayson was 1/10 Favourite at one point this morning but a recent check of there site has him as a 1/20 favourite meaning that either some dodgy bettings going on or Grayson's off. Chances are that he's off as betting has been suspended with some bookmakers.

Sky sports have also reported that "Simon Grayson will be the next Leeds manager by the end of play today". It will be interesting to know if Simon is at the scheduled signing at the club shop today; if he isn't it's pretty much a done deal that Larry has left the club.

Grayson has dismissed the speculation telling the Gazette "There is nothing to say because it's just speculation."

But with so much of a circus surrounding this issue it wouldn't surprise me if he's off.

Leeds fans are certainly fans with one posting on the Football Network; Unofficial Leeds site. "He got Blackpool up on a shoestring and kept them there. Very good young manager IMO - would not be unhappy with him"
