Gow Signs, Aluko Leaves and more

Alan Gow

Finally! Alan Gow has signed for Blackpool FC. In yet another messy fashion, Blackpool manager Simon Grayson has finally managed to secure the signature of his long term target. Meanwhile Sone Aluko has left the club and joined Aberdeen full time, Whilst Shaun Barker has made team of the week.

Initially Gow rejected a move to Blackpool from Rangers   dispute the two clubs agreeing a fee of £250,000. Now the attacking midfielder has joined on loan for an initial six months but Blackpool have an option to sign the player full time if the player will agree. Rangers have already accepted this proposal and seemed keen to get the lad off there books.

He already turned down a move to Burnley this year and he was also linked to Norwich, Birmingham City and Hearts but hopefully Gow can recreate his Falkirk form and be the spark in our midfield which we have been lacking so far this season. Gow is the 14th celebrity to sign for Blackpool this season.

Meanwhile Sone Aluko left the club to rejoin Aberdeen from former parent club Birmingham City. Blackpool were rumoured to be after a one month loan extension, but that never happened and now Blackpool are left with only two fit forwards. Although McPhee and Nardellio could return for Barnsley at home.

The transfer activity won't stop just because the transfer window has closed. Simon Grayson may yet choose to bring in others on loan and of course we'll have it all here on Tangerine-Planet.co.uk.

Finally Shaun Barker made the official football league team of the week. The defender impressed last Saturday against Southampton and has been rewarded with his place in the official team of the week. Lets hope the form continue!
