Preview vs Southampton

St Marys
By Rocky64 August 29 2008
In search of there first three points of the season, Blackpool will play Southampton tomorrow away from home. Unsurprisingly huge numbers aren't expected to travel, instead pubs across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre will be decked out in tangerine as fans take the game in thanks to Sky Sports.

Under Simon Grayson Blackpool have only lost once on TV and have had memorable games that include a 5-2 win over Scunthorpe. Hopefully tomorrow we'll see a repeat of that scoreline, although with only one goal from open play this season it seems unlikely.

Stephen McPhee and Daniel Nardellio are unlikely to feature in the squad, whilst Stephen Crainey may return to the bench after he had an injection to speed up his recovery from a hamstring injury earlier this week. Kieth Southern is once again out through suspension. Taking his place will be David Vaughn if media reports are to be believed.

Southampton will see Micheal Svennson and Chris Perry returning to there starting line up, whilst Kelvin Davis is expected to take the place in between the sticks. Jamie White will also return with Paul Wotton dropping to the bench.

Hopefully tomorrow will see us kick start our season, Grayson has rebuilt his squad and it's taking time to work but with three points we'll be on are way.

Prediction Southampton 1 Blackpool 3
