Barnsley 1-2 Coventry City
We start the round up at Oakwell where favourites for relegation Barnsley lost another 3 points and lost another man after Ian Hume was sent off in the 80th minute and joins Van Homoet in suspension. Freddy Eastwood got it going in the 12th minute before Howard got one back before half Time. Second half saw more cards as a total of 7 people were booked before Gray got the winner in the 68th minute.
Bristol City 1-1 Derby County
Derby haven’t won in 300 and odd games and finally got a point on the bored after a 1-1 drew against Bristol. After their embarrassing 1-0 defeat to promoted Doncaster they went behind to Maynard’s first goal at his new club before Green managed to equalise after the break.
Burnley 0-3 Ipswich
Burnley’s misery continued after another goal fest at the hands of Ipswich. Trotter and Lisbie scored in the first half while Jordan owns goal sealed the win in the 88th minute. Burnley have now let in a total of 7 goals and have only scored once.
Doncaster 1-1 Cardiff
Doncaster incredible start to the season continues as a point against the FA Cup Finalists. The goals came late on when Guy looked like to have won it for Doncaster until an 88th minute goal from McCormack sealed a point for each side.
Norwich 1-1 Blackpool
Both sides managed to claim their first goals of the season but Norwich could have had more after to chances went begging one cracked of the crossbar and the other sent wide of an open goal. Hammill’s fouled in the box brought Burgess’s first goal of the campaign until Russell 67th minute goal brought the point home.
Preston 2-0 Crystal Palace
Preston got another 3 points as Palace didn’t really turn up. Nicholson managed his first goal at a new club in the 51st minute. All looked quiet until Chaplow struck one superbly in the bottom corner for 2 in the 91st minute.
Reading 2-0 Plymouth
Sonko ran Plymouth ragged with two goals for the relegated club as they battle for promotion at the first attempt. Goals for Sonko in the 13th and 50th minute wrapped it up.
Sheff Utd 3-0 QPR
Gorkss got a real battering on the message boards after the match after the Billy Sharp Show was turned on securing his hat trick after 50 minutes. The richest club may be able to but the worlds up and coming talent and splash their millions but playing real football needs more then money.
Southampton 1-2 Birmingham
Kevin Phillips grabbed another goal for City as Southampton yet again lose. Perry got it going in the 43rd minute for Southampton until O’Conner got it back in the 49th minute while Phillips wrapped it up on the 77th minute.
Swansea 3-1 Nott Forest
Swansea came back after their 2-0 defeat to Charlton with a 3-1 win over fellow promoted club. An own goal from Smith in the 9 minute got the home side going till an equaliser came Perch in the 35th minute. Swansea however pulled a win back thanks to Bodde and Pintado in the 71st and 86th minutes respectively.
Watford 1-0 Charlton
Despite Watford selling their best players they still managed a 10-0 win over Charlton thanks to Tommy Smith in the 28th minute. Youga sent off in the 46th minute was the last thing that happened in the game.
Wolves 4-1 Sheff Weds
Wednesday found out how Burnley felt after they suffered a 4-1 los to Wolves. Despite Esajas claiming the 1st gal for Wednesday in the 15th minute goals came one after each other for Wolves from Iwelumo (28, 59) Ebanks Blake(pen 54) and Edwards (91) respectively.

Flop of the weekend – Sheffield Wednesday team – Thought 4-1 win over Burnley would be start of something good until Wolves put them in their place.
