Don't Sponsor Blackpool!

Floors2go ha ha
By Rocky64 July 22 2008
Sponsor Blackpool Football Club and prepare to go bust, or so that would appear if reports in todays papers are correct. Apparently Floors2go have suffered the curse of tangerine and have gone bust meaning that the last five sponsors have gone out of business.

Pricebusters looked to avoid the curse a few years ago, in fact they traded for a year after sponsoring the 'pool before going bust. Life Repair Group however suffered a similar fate to Floors2go and went bust whilst we donned there company logo. So no we're going to have to play a season with the floors2go on our shirts, which will no doubt lead to some banter from away fans.

However one would assume our charismatic enigma of a Chairman will save the day. Finding a loophole which allows us to change our shirts mid-season sporting the corporate logo of some other soon to be doomed company.

For those wandering the list of casualties in the last decade or so is; Electricity Direct, Life Repair Group, Pricebusters, Pointbetgames.com and now floors2go. One reader of this site has already expressed his desire to see Preston Nob End sponsor our shirt next after all some good has to come of this curse.

On a side not, a quick apology for the lack of updates recently,  I've had to attend to a few things in my life but over the next few weeks we'll pick it up again. Especially with Paddy and Reedo back on board!

Definitely seems to be a poisoned chalice sponsoring Blackpool.

As for the floors 2 go logo, they'll probably just stick something over the top of it like they did a few years ago when one of the previous sponsors went bust!

I wonder if Oyston had an idea & they may not be on the new shirts?

We'll see next week! I'm on holiday from this Saturday, so i'll see it when I get back! smiling smiley

Crikey ..... it is jinxed !!

Can you pick West Bromwich Albion as your next shirt sponsors ?????

Surprised about Floors2go - I thought they were taking over the world.

Good luck next season ......(but not too good) !
