Update from the States

Well the MLS season has been underway for a few games now, so we decided it was once again time to do an update from the states and there is a lot of news to cover. So sit back, take a deep breath and get updated on every 'pool fans second team; Houston Dynamo!

We'll start with the sad news that Paul Dalglish quit the club in the summer. He struggled with injuries for his two years at the club and only managed to find the net twice. Although a fans favorite he was released and joined Scottish club Kilmarnock soon after.

The good news is Houston have decided that they need a Seasiders influence in the dressing room. So step forward former Blackpool 'keeper Tony Caig! The 34 year old has signed a one year contract at Houston and is currently the 'keeper of choice due to injury to Pat Onsted.

Last season saw Houston once again crowned MLS Cup winners. The second year in which they've won the competition. Later this week the team will receive a Championship ring to commemorate there victory. Also Houston will once again add a star to there badge and be able to use club colored nets!

Finally Houston currently sit bottom of the MLS Western Standings and are yet to pick up a win instead there has been three draws and one defeat. But with games coming up against Columbus Crew and Chivas USA hopefully things can turn around.
