Seasiders Summer Camp

Camping is Cool!
By Rocky64 April 23 2008
"Fun and laughter on a summer holiday. No more worries for me and you." A famous lyric from a Cliff Richard song about summer holidays. Which got me thinking how about a great big BFC holiday . Well camping trip? Sort of like when we were in boy scouts.

What I'm proposing is that we run a Seasiders Summer Camp this summer. Basically to test the waters on running a big scale event like this and having a good time.

The plan so far is to get a gage on who and how many people would be interested. We're looking to go sometime in Mid-July. Going down early on a Friday and coming back late on a Sunday. We have a few places in mind; that would be suitable for such a trip and the camp would see all sorts of arranged activities and  free time.

If you are interested and are serious, please contact us by one of the following methods.

1) Email: tangerine.planet@hotmail.co.uk
2) Post a comment on this article leaving your email address.
3) PM me your Email address via our forum.
4) Contact me on other Blackpool forums with an FAO Rocky thread again leaving your email address.

We need people who maybe interested to get in touch ideally before the end of this month, so we can organize a site, activities, minibus hire, a driver and other such things. So please get in touch ASAP.

*EDIT: We have now decided to rent a farm house or hostel for the event. We have had lots of interest so far and if you are interested please get in touch.

Rocky give me a shout as if you come to the lakes you are in my neck of the woods. There are plenty of hostels up here. One thing you should maybe look at doing is " Going Ape" in Grisedale forest or even the paint balling thats done near there.

I will watch and see what you decide on.
