WE CAN STAY UP!

Grayson Believes!
By Rocky64 April 15 2008
Well we're really in the sh*t now! Leicester, Coventry, Sheff Wed and Southampton are breathing down are necks heavily and if we don't beat Wednesday on Saturday there's a chance we could slip into the bottom three. However that would mean results not going our way elsewhere. But still, whilst it's still in our own hands-the ar*e is starting to squeak a little!

Simon Grayson realises the necessity of picking up points on Saturday and believes if we lose, we're relegated. Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire he said "There's no doubt about it, if we don't get a point from now until the end of the season then we will be relegated.  We need another win. The Sheffield Wednesday match on Saturday has now taken on much greater significance."

"Everything is still in our hands," said Grayson before adding. "The one thing you've got to do is look after number one. The players have got plenty to prove in training this week because nobody is guaranteed to be playing."

Micheal Flynn who has experience Relegation from the championship with former club Gillingham also remains confident of staying up. He told the Blackpool Gazette "We need one more win to be safe. Team spirit is top notch and we all believe we will be in the Championship again next season. There are still a lot of teams who'd like to swap positions with us.

He added "Where's the next win coming from? Hopefully the next game, that's what we'll be aiming for. We will be fine, I'm sure of that. We are still outside the relegation area and in a good position."

The defeat to Cardiff was very disappointing and in some respects upsetting as well. Those who traveled have accused the team of been "gutless" but one player commended by the traveling Seasiders was Kieth Southern.

Southern was happy from a personal perspective but overall feels the team failed to deliver on the pitch. However he remains confident we can stay up.

He said to the official site "It was nice to be back, it was a disappointing game and a disappointing result, but yes it was nice to be back. It was nice to be playing again and I really enjoyed it, I really enjoyed being back out there with the lads."

"I'm confident, I'm always confident. I've been at this club along time now and there have been worse times than this. It's in our own hands."
