This week's News round!

Off to Perth?

Well another week another round of news for you all to take a gander at. This week there's transfer gossip, good news for Wes whilst Micheal Flynn has sent a message to Wales boss John Toshack. But we'll start with the disappointing news that the club has been given the okay to stay put for another three years.

In a poll on this site not so long ago, the majority voted that you felt the East Stand and it's facilities were an embarrassment to the club. However Blackpool Council have decided the club should be given an extra three years to sort the stand and have been given further permission to erect an extra 972 seats.

Meanwhile soon to be out-of-contract player Paul Dickov has been linked to former Manager Steve McMahon's form side Perth Glory. The striker is currently on loan from Man City and if rumours are true that Simon Grayson has a one year contract on the table for Dickov then it would appear the Seasiders have competition for the players signature.

In other transfer news Kaspars Gorkks has been linked to a move to rivals Nob End. The defender has a reported £250,000 release clause and Preston could be the first club to try and tempt the striker away if reports in TWO NATIONAL newspapers are to be believed. Hopefully the club will see sense and persuade Gorkks to sign a new deal but of course we'll have the latest on here as soon as it happens.

Micheal Flynn has revealed his international dreams in the South Wales Echo. Flynn told the paper “I’d give my right arm to play for my country, Just one call and I’ll be there like a shot. I’m a proud Welshman and I wouldn’t let anybody down. John Toshack must know about me by now, but I’d be delighted if he took a look at how I am playing while I am down in Cardiff tomorrow.”

Toshack won't be present tomorrow but assistant boss Brian Flynn will be to take have a look at Flynn and members of the Cardiff side.

"Preston could be the first club to try and tempt the striker away"

Since when was Kaspars a striker. I know he has a better strike rate than most but last I chacked he was a centre half.

I dont think Gorkss would move to preston. If he did go, it would to be someone that is premiership bound.
