Hoggy, Winner last year.
By Rocky64 March 20 2008
You always get a legend on the terraces, those unforgettable characters, those who travel far and wide to see there team. Many feel these fans deserve to be rewarded by the club. Well today the club; in association with The Blackpool Gazette announced the details for this year Fan of the Year.
The "Fan of the Year" award was founded last year by www.tangerine-planet.co.uk. We also sponsored and purchased the trophy and organised the voting. There was five nominee's but two stood out from the rest, Glenn Bowley and Drummer Hoggy.

Hoggy won in the end by nearly 150 votes, however a late voting campaign for Glenn made the finish very tense. The trophy was awarded at last year's Scunthorpe home game and the award was well received by those who voted, the press and the winner himself.

This year the competition will be organised the club and local paper and those wanting to nominate someone can by emailing your nomination to steve.canavan@blackpoolgazette.co.uk or matt.williams@blackpoolfc.co.uk

Our vote this year is going to Dave from Fylde Coast Seasiders for his part in the formation of the new supporters club. But what do you think? Let us know on our message boards.
