Seaside Polls: The South Stand Saga Comprimise

RIP South Stand
By Rocky64 March 12 2008
We recently ran a poll asking if a Temporary stand would be a suitable comprimise in the South Stand Saga. Nearly half those that voted felt it was suitable comprimise, so wouldn't it be sensible to appease the fans by errecting another temporary stand. Those without tickets can no get them and the gate reciepts will also be boosted, an at the same time pre-lets can also be seeked!

A temporary stand could be split between home and away fans, 1000 seats each. There half uses the existing toilets and catering on offer for away fans our half those available in the West Stand. The away fans could enter using the existing turnstiles and an entrance could be created on South West corner for our fans to enter.

This is the most sensible suggestion yet and would allow the club to appease fans, make money but at the same time search for those infamous pre-lets. It's a sensible suggestion and I only hope the chairman and the club take it on board.

Next up on our Seasiders poll's we're asking "Are You embaressed by our Away Stand Facilities?" You can vote using the voting booth which sits on most pages here on tangerine-planet.co.uk If you wish to enter the debate about the south stand etc then enter our forum at the link below.

There are three options that BFC have.

1 - A permanent South stand would be the best option and one that the fans would love to see as it proves the club really do care about the fans. It will also bring in revenue which may help stop the price rises in future season tickets.

2 - A temporary South stand which the club could get more revenue from but and it is a big but( not as big as J Lo's butt though) how long will we keep it for? The east stand was only temporary but we still have it. Also there would not be a roof on this type of stand.

3 - A bomb site - which is what has been there for years and once again shows the clubs total lack of respect for the fans.
