Nottingham Forest have agreed a nominal fee with Bury for striker Andy Bishop, the Daily Red has learned. The 25-year-old forward will also have the opportunity to speak to a number of other clubs, including Championship strugglers Coventry City....

Bishop, 25, has bagged 17 goals so far this campaign and finds himself among the top six League Two goalscorers.

The former Walsall trainee turned down a move to League One side Crewe in the January transfer window, but the lure of Nottingham Forest is likely to tempt the forward away from Gigg Lane.

If Bishop agrees terms with Forest it is also likely that Grant Holt’s time at the City Ground will come to an end.

But it is not clear if Forest will pursue their interest if they secure promotion to the Championship.
