CHARLTON Athletic could be ready to snap up former Burnley goalkeeper Danny Coyne, as the replacement for Scott Carson. The Welsh International left Turf Moor after the 2006/07 campaign as his contract w up, and basically he was bench warming for Steve Cotterill.
Danny Coyne, Former Burnley goalkeeper
Danny Coyne, will he join the Addicks?

ALAN Pardew could be set to snap up former Burnley stopper Danny Coyne following his release from Turf Moor when their season ended with a disapointing 2-1 defeat at the han of Coventry City.

A number of clubs are reported to be interested in the Welsh number one, with the players agent claiming Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich, Cardiff and a un-named Premiership side are interested.

Yes. You heard that right a Premiership team wants Coyne, a player who was a spectator for most of the season with Danish 'keeper Brian Jensen keping him out of the team. His agent says the Premiership teams interested want him as back up though.

But Addick-ted.co.nr has knowledge that Pardew is chasing the stopper also, as Scott Carson heads back to Liverpol now that his loan deal has come to an end.

We'll just have to wait and see, eh?
