Bobby Charlton still holds the record for the most goals scored for England with a total of 49 goals in 106 appearances. Gary Linekar sits in second place with just on goal less, 48 goals in 80 appeances. The most recent players to break into the top 15 goal scoreres of all time are Michael Owen with 40 goals in 89 appeances, and Alan Shearer who scored 30 in 63 appearances.
