A few days on from Stamford Bridge and the fact that we played the champions off their own park is still sinking in. I'd never have dreamed that we'd even get a draw away at Chelsea nevermind destroying them.
The scoreline of 3-0 didn't even flatter the black cats... it could easily have been 6 or 7 had Petr Cech not been back to his best.
I think the majority of us would have snapped hands off had we been offered a 2-0 defeat before the game so to take all three points, and to do it in the fashion we did must've surprised everyone especially considering last seasons 7-2 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Nedum Onuoha opened the scoring with a brilliant individual goal just before half time before a brilliant team move saw Asamoah Gyan score the second not long into the second half.
Even at 2-0 up I thought we'd still throw it away and that Chelsea would get a point at least.
But once that third goal went in after some good work by Kieran Richardson pressured Ashley Cole in to making a bad back pass laying it on a plate for Danny Welbeck to seal all three points for Sunderland.
Let's hope for more of the same on Monday night when we're home to Everton.
Also, congratulations and good luck must go out to Jordan Henderson who is set to make his full England debut against France on Wednesday night.
