Darren Bent
Fraizer Campbell opened the scoring in the first minute easing the pressue - as I'm sure alot of the home support would have got on the players' backs had it been 0-0 at half time.
Steed Malbranque, now back in favour after being disciplined by Bruce, had an excellent, hard working game in midfield - putting in his best performance of the season so far.
The second half became the Darren Bent show!
Bent took his tally to 19 goals for the season so far with a hat trick.
The first goal of his three I expect Bolton Keeper Juussi Jaaskelainen will be disappointed with as it appeared to squeeze under his body.
Bent added a second from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Sam Ricketts who earned a second yellow card for his troubles and was sent off.
The third was a great finish after Fraizer Campbell pulled the ball back to Bent from the byline beating Jaaskelainen at his left hand post.
It could've been 4 or 5 for Bent, Jaaskelainen making a good save in the dying minutes and another shot which rebounded back off the post. A rebound which Kenwyne Jones slotted home but the big Trinidadian was deemed to be offside.
All in all an excellent performance in which Bolton never really got going.
The only down side of the game - Lorik Cana picked up his 10th booking of the season so is now suspended. Though this may prove to be a blessing in disguise as Bruce will now field a more attacking midfield in the next two games without teh captain.
