Sunderland Boss Ricky Sbragia has announced that Michael Chopra, El-Hadji Diouf and David Healy will not be goiig anywhere during the January transfer window. 27-year-old Diouf had been linked with a move to Blackburn to team up with Sam Allardyce, who signed him while he was manager of Bolton.

2009-01-05 - El-Hadji Diouf, Sunderland"I have spoken to him (Diouf) in the last couple of days and he seems happy, they all seem happy," said Sbragia.

Sbragia also said that Healy and Chopra, two more strikers, will also not be sold this transfer wnidow.

The Senegal international Diouf starred in Sunderland's 2-1 win over Wanderers in the FA Cup third round and Sbragia said that is the kind of performance he expects consistently from Diouf.

"He set himself a standard and he has to keep to that standard. That's what I knew he could do from his time at Bolton."

Michael Chopra who has been on loan with Bluebirds Cardiff City until now has scored 5 goals in 11 appearances for the Welsh outfit.

Sbragia confirmed the 25-year-old would not be leaving: "Chopra will not be moving at all, I need four strikers and he is going to be one of the four."

"The good thing about Chopra is he can play wide right, wide left and up front, there has been a lot of speculation, but I can't afford to lose my better players," he added.

2009-01-07 - David Healy, Northern IrelandDavid Healy, a Northern Ireland international has been linked with cash stricken Rangers - as they are trying to offload  top scorer Boyd to bring in smoe much needed cash.

"It is just speculation, I have had no contact with Rangers at all regarding David," said Sbragia.

This was also confirmed by Healy's agent Stephen Hughes, Hughes told us that he'd had no contact whatsoever with Glasgow Rangers.

Sbragia: "I spoke to David about three weeks ago and he is definitely part of the plan, he has been excellent, his attitude has been fantastic and we need strikers.

"If we have a problem with the front two regarding injury, we have two strikers who can go in and take their place." He added.
