Allardyce to return to Sunderland

Blyth - Blackburn
By The Black Cats
January 6 2009
Blackburn Rovers saw off the Blyth Spartans last night earning themselves a trip to the Sunderland Stadium of Light for an all premier league 4th round FA Cup clash. This will be the second time that Big Sam Allardyce faces Sunderland since he took the Blackburn job after being the bookies favourite to succeed Roy Keane.

Blackburn Rovers booked their place in the fourth round of the English FA Cup with an unconvincing 1-0 win over non-league Blyth Rovers at Croft Park on Monday night.

Chilean Carlos Villanueva settled the issue with a 59th-minute free kick.

The mighty Spartans could have won the game, and should have at least earned themselves a draw after a great ball into the box was put wide from the edge of the six yard box in the dying moments of the game.

In Sunderland previous meeting with Blackburn the game was a boring nil nil affair.

Hopefully this time we will all enjoy a great FA Cup tie, with Sunderland coming out on top and progressing into the 5th round of the Cup.

Ha'way the Lads!

Re: Allardyce to return to Sunderland
Think we'll beat them this time round. Hope so anyway!
