Nugent To Sunderland?
By Black Cats June 14 2007
Media rumours suggest Dave Nugent will sign a contract shortly.

Recent media rumours are suggesting that Preston North End striker David Nugent will be signing for the Black Cats when he returns from England Under-21 national duty in Holland.

Nugent is currently playing for England in the European Under-21 Championships in Holland and cannot under go a medical or sign a contract while out of the UK. Providing he is in good health when he returns after the euro championships it seems he could move from Preston to Sunderland for around £6M.

It seems Roy Keane may have beaten off competition from Everton to seal the deal.

Although it it not yet official this would indeed be a big name signing for Roy Keane.
