Gillingham Team News

Gary Mulligan has missed The Gills' previous two games and is in contention to start against the club that he was on loan at just before he signed initially on loan for Gillingham. Mulligan has netted nine goals this season and has been one of The Gills' most consistent players.

Meanwhile Dale Tonge is a doubt following a knock against Chesterfield with Jupp and Jarvis ruled out and look unlikely to feature for Gillingham again this season.

Jepson also opted to not play youngster Chris Kiely for the final three games with Kelvin Jack injured and Romain Larrieu re-called by parent club Plymouth. Instead 35-year-old QPR stopped has signed on loan until the end of the season to deputise.

Port Vale Team News

Jason Talbot is the only absentee for the Valiants who is serving a five game suspension for accumulating three red cards this season.

Ronnie Jepson

"It won't be an easy game as they have been doing well and will be nice and relaxed - but we'll be ok if we perform how we have been at Priestfield for most of the season. It's a relief that we're staying in this league after the season we've had - and we're going to aim to finish as high as we can now. The points tally at the end of the season is really important and we want to get as many as we can on board in the remaining three games.

"The worst thing is if people switch off, but I won't allow that to happen and the supporters won't allow that to happen either. We want to win every game that we play in. The supporters expect that and I expect that, so hopefully we can have a good end to the season now."

Dean Glover

"We are looking for three points at Gillingham and we need to get one over Ronnie (Jepson). We went there last year and had a big disappointment and we need to turn that round.

"As long as we get a performance where we can say we have had a go at it, and with a bit of luck we might get the three points. It is better than going down there and just turning up and play."

Out of 32 meetings, Port Vale have won ten games. The Gills have one nine and the remaining 13 have ended all square.

Officiating the game at Priestfield on Saturday will be:

Referee: Dean Whitestone (Northamptonshire)
Assistant Referees: Ian Bentley (Kent) and Marvin Thompson (Middlesex)
Fourth Official: David Buck (Kent)

Tickets are still on general sale in all areas of the ground.
