First Installment: Here is a round up of what else is happening in the Coca-Cola Football League 2. With Southend United making a bid for Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo and Walsall have completed the signing of trialist Hector Sam.

Bristol Rovers have confirmed that they have received an offer from recently promoted Southend United for striker Junior Agogo.

It was revealed on Friday the bid had been made and now Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope has admitted that there was a bid made by The Shrimpers.

"The club have received a bid from Southend in the last couple of days, but that's as much as I know," Trollope told Bristol Radio.

"Players are quite resilient and they'll get on and play. I've spoken to Junior and that's what he'll do."

The Ghana international is being chased by a number of clubs but Southend look like the favourites.

Meanwhile after 2 successive relegations Walsall have completed the signing of Trinidad & Tobago international Hector Sam.

The 28-year-old has been on trial at Walsall and he has done enough to earn a one-year deal from them.

"Hector has settled in well here," said Walsall boss Richard Money.

"He has mixed well with the other players and they enjoy having him here".
