Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of former Fulham trainee Sean Doherty. After making his league debut in 2005 whilst on-loan at Blackpool Doherty signed for League One outfit Port Vale. He went straight into the Port Vale squad and quickly made an impact, but now he is here at Stanley and he's ready to battle.

Doherty can play either on the right wing or on the left wing. He was released by Fulham in 2005 after a successful loan spell at Blackpool. Port Vale reacted quickest and snapped him up but he felt it was time for a change after only a year so he signed for The Fraser Eagle faithful, Accrington Stanley.

Sean the son of Mick Doherty, himself a top non-league player, who represented England, Sean is sure to have a large impact on Stanley's first year back in the Football League.
