Neil Warnock is hoping to see Ian Ross make an Impact for the Magpies, since he allowed the 20-year-old central midfield, to join from Sheffield United to Notts County on a six-month loan yesterday.

Notts Manager and former Blades Caretaker Manager Steve Thompson had been chasing the youngster for the last couple of weeks and is pleased to have him finally join.

Ross had loan spells at Boston and Bury last season and impressed there, Warnock sees loaning out the player as valuable experience and is hoping to see him fully involved in our team.

Warnock told Sheffield United’s Official Website: “I have spoken to the Notts County Manager Steve Thompson who informs me he will be in the team.”

Ross told Magpie World: “I had a few clubs interested in me, but I had a good feeling about Notts.”

“I liked what the Manager had to say and Neil Warnock fancied me coming here as well.”
