Carling Cup Betting - The King Has Spoken
By Paddy Power December 2 2008
For a man that gets paid millions of pounds to play somewhere in the region of five football matches a year, Ledley King is awful grumpy. Kind of flying in the face of the Harry Redknapp induced euphoria engulfing White Hart Lane, King issued a stark warning to his team-mates that work still needs to be done to avoid relegation. Tottenham lost to Everton at the weekend and the occasional captain says "on days like that, good teams would grind out a 0-0 and take a point" – although we'd like to point out that good teams would probably like more than a point at home to Everton. The Carling Cup offers a pleasant distraction from the relegation scrap, but Spurs won't defending their crown if Watford shock the reigning winners. 7.45pm SS1 Carling Cup Matches
