World Cup Qualifiers - Dangerous Work
By Paddy Power October 15 2008
Eduardo Lara's new job as Colombia boss got off to a bad start losing to Paraguay 1 - 0, but it's a bit early to say he's heading down the Andres Escobar route. A too bit much? Well, it is Colombia! While there's no pressure on the manager yet, goalkeeper Agustin Julio received some criticism for his display when he was caught out of position to concede the only goal of the game. Although Lara insisted he was "not in a good mood" he was adamant the keeper would start against Brazil. The player had been dubbed "St. Agustin" but the coach said that the media were not "entitled to crucify him for his performance." Er...a literal warning? Smell the Colombian coffee, back Brazil to win 4 – 0! Thurs 2am SS1
