World Cup Qualifiers Odds - A Bit Chile
By Paddy Power October 12 2008
Ecuador think being high will give them an advantage to beat Chile in their World Cup Qualifier, although they don't mean that in the Bob Marley sense of the word. Given that the Atahualpa stadium is 2,850 meters above sea level, Ecuador boss Sixto Vizuete believes Chile "is not going to hold up for the whole 90 minutes." Chile managed to beat Bolivia at a similar height but Vizuete has a plan. "We are going to be very cautious. But if we make a quick steal, change sides, unleash deep passes and catch them flat on their feet, its going to give fruit," he said, changing the objective of the game from putting the ball into the back of the net to collecting fruit.
